Oreo Crust

Hey Guys!

I know we all love Oreo cookies. Don’t deny it. They are delicious. And they are even better when they are the bottom of your favorite pie! So here is a super easy recipe for an Oreo cookie crust!

You will need:
25 of your favorite Oreos
5 tbs butter.

Start by crushing your Oreos (frosting and all) in a food processor until they are crushed into fine crumbs.

Now melt your butter…

...and mix it into the Oreo crumbs until everything is thoroughly combined.

Now firmly press the mixture into a 9x9 pie pan and bake at 350F for 8 minutes. Let it cool completely before adding your pie filling.

And you are done! Here are a few photos of the pie I made with my crust.

I made a lemon meringue pie with the oreo crust and chocolate sauce on the top.
It was sooo good.
Also extremely sugary.
But delicious.

Tell me what you did with your crust in the comments below!
See you next week!

Cinnamon Sugar Chips!

Hi Guys!

So I stumbled across this recipe when I was just roaming around Pinterest. I tried it, and I really enjoyed it, so now I’m going to share it with you!

You will need:
Tortillas
Cinnamon Sugar
Butter

Now if you haven’t ever made cinnamon sugar don’t fret! It’s just cinnamon and sugar mixed together. The lady on It’s Always Autumn says that she makes it 4 parts sugar to 1 part cinnamon, but that seems like a lot to me so I really think you should just go by taste.

Preheat your oven to 425F.
Now melt your butter until it’s good and liquid...y. Then slather it on to the tortillas and sprinkle on a generous amount of cinnamon sugar. Try to get everything as even as possible.

Cut the tortillas into slices with a pizza slicer and stick them in the oven. The original post says it will take 10-13 minutes, but mine took roughly 5 with the “quick bake” button.

And that’s it! I didn’t have any fruit on hand for a dip, so I made some whipped cream. I think I prefered the chips without it though. They were really sweet and delicious!

Be sure to comment if you tried these and tell me how they turned out. See you next week!

Half-Pound Reese's!

Hola!

So today’s post is more of a review thing than a how-to. I’m sure you won’t mind though.
Today I am reviewing:
The half-pound Reese’s cups!
Ok, so it’s not a healthy treat at all, more like when you really feel like indulging yourself.

Here is what you see when you open up the box. I have placed a quarter on top so you can see how big they are.

As any good review...er would do I measured a Reese’s to see if it really was a half-pound. Half of a pound is 8 ounces and, as we see here, the Reese’s is actually 8.1 ounces. Yay! 8.1 ounces for the prices of 8! ;)

Now I am going to show you what I did with these things.

I ate the whole Reese’s fancy-like, of course.
And then I ate the other one with my teeth.
Fancy-ness in moderation.

And so I will end this post filled to the brim with, you probably guessed it, sugar. See you next week!

p.s. Sorry for any weird photos. I got a new camera and I'm still getting used to it. :)

Marshmallow Pops

Hello!
Today’s post is pretty short. Oops. That’s just because my birthday was around the time I took these photos and I got a bit caught up in the hubbub.
Is that the right way to use that word?
Also I did this pretty late at night. Sorry!
Anyway, if you would like good photos, go and head on over to the source. If you just want the recipe, here is as good a place as any! Enjoy!

You will need:
Marshmallows
Chocolate
Caramel
Sprinkles
Fruit (optional, I used strawberries, bananas would be nice too)
Straws or Skewers

Stab the marshmallows onto the straws. I put strawberries between some of the marshmallows, as you can tell. Please note that if you use fruit make these about half an hour (in the fridge) before you need them. That will be enough time to harden the chocolate without the fruit getting old.

Drizzle caramel onto the needy marshmallows.

What happened to my photo? :(
Now add the chocolate and sprinkles! Yummy!

And that’s about it! You could also use sugary cereal instead of sprinkles, or use both. You can do whatever you want with this!

I want to post the ingredients photo again just because it was really nice:
Ah yes. Look at how perfect everything looks. Everything in it’s place, waiting to become sugary goodness. :)

Have fun making marshmallow pops!
