How to make Paper Flowers!

I was bored.

I needed something to do.

And I had spent too much time on Pinterest already.

Thus, a recipe for a new decoration appeared in my head.

And now,

A CRAFT!

We are going to make these beauties:

Paper flowers!

These are super fun and super easy to make, not to mention adorable!

You will need:

Any colored paper of your choice-I used construction paper.

Scissors, a stapler, Glue-Dots and a paper cutter.

The paper cutter is optional, I only used it to cut the strips of paper, but you could use some scissors for that.

Cut the paper into one-inch strips.

Pinch the strips halfway and line up the ends (but don’t fold it!!)

Now staple it about one inch in.

Now repeat for more petals! To make the big flower I make 13 or 14 petals, but just make as many as you want, 5, 6 or 10, it really depends on what you like.

Now for the middle of the flower, cut out 2 circles. Do this however you like, I bet you all know how to cut out circles! :)

Now stick a glue dot in the middle of one of the circles.

Begin adding the petals by pressing one at a time into the glue.

Keep adding…..

You’re almost done!

Now take the second circle, put a glue dot in the middle and carefully apply it to the middle of the petals.

 

When you finish, it should look something like this.

And now it is ready to put up on your wall! I am guilty of making 10 of these, not all of which are shown in the pictures.

Here you can see the ones with fewer petals, these were some of my first flowers.
