Chocolate Smoothie Time!

Hey Guys!

Today I have something that I really enjoy for all of you. A chocolate smoothie!
I have never done a smoothie before, but it has chocolate, so I think it will fit right in with the rest of my treats!
So this recipe calls for a frozen banana. I recommend peeling the banana and then chopping it into 1-2 in. slices. I learned the bit about peeling the banana the hard way. Apparently common sense was on break that day for me. Oh well. Also: bananas take a long time to freeze. The minimum mine took was 5 hours. It might be a good idea to have a bag of bananas pre-frozen in the freezer so you don’t have to wait forever when you want a smoothie.
Now that I have talked-or typed-all my notes, we can make a smoothie!

You will need:
1 frozen banana
½ cup milk
1 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp greek yogurt
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp flaxseed (for thickness-see below)
Smoothies are pretty straight-forward, so you probably know what I’m going to say next. Dump all your ingredients into a cup and mix it with your hand-blender. Or you could use a normal blender. Easy-peasy.

Yummy, a chocolate smoothie. If you want yours to be a little thicker you can add a tablespoon of flaxseed. I usually do.

And there you go! A delicious cold smoothie, without any ice-cream. Yay! This could even be your breakfast, as long as you have some cheese on the side.

See you next week!
